🎈YOU DID IT AGAIN, LIVE AT LEEDS! We had an absolute blast yesterday. 💥
Thanks to all for the kind words below...
"Leeds’ own homegrown band Marsicans made their city proud as they performed a coveted slot at the O2 Academy for this year’s festival. With a debut album still on the horizon, the indie-pop quartet performed their bright tunes including ‘Suburbs,’ ‘Pop Ups (Sunny At The Weekend),’ and ‘Too Good,’ causing a mosh pit every corner of the packed 2,300 capacity venue."
"Marsicans set the venue alight during their set...it was impossible not to be swept up by the band’s more insurgent new material, tracks that will surely define them as one of the nation’s most treasured new indie bands in the coming months."
FREE ENTRY - LEEDS. We'll be playing a very special one-off show to kick off Live at Leeds 2018 in style, as part of the PRS Foundation's Momentum Showcase. Sick line-up also features Chelou // Our Girl // Fenne Lily. Friday May 4th. The Wardrobe Leeds. No tickets: first come, first served!🎈
To the untrained eye, April may have looked like a quiet month in the world of Marsicans but, in the words of the current World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, "Marsicans have had a really busy month". Boy is he right!
After the highs of our Friends headline tour, which took us around this fine island we call home, we hibernated away into our rehearsal room in the search of new music. Despite our love for playing live, we had a great few weeks arguing over what new chords we could use to further our quest for musical synergy. However, as the circle of life dictates, we were soon ready to play live again.
In preparation for our show at Live at Leeds, we headed over to York for a show at City Screen, a cool underground venue on the riverfront. My...
A CHOICE SELECTION of reviews of last weekend's Live At Leeds performance - one of our favourite hometown shows to date and it even came with one of our favourite ever live shots (above), courtesy of Olivia Williams... 🎈
Marsicans, on the much bigger stage at Stylus, have built their reputation as a hardworking indie band from the ground up. Their synergy is palpable as they egg each other on, the crowd eagerly sing back at them.
We’ve had a lot of good months in Marsicanland recently, but this month has been summin’ else! I always thought Tellytubbyland was the place to be when I was a kid but then I realised that there were fully grown adults running around in those suits and Noo-Noo was actually a girl on a tricycle. Come to think of it, we do dress ourselves in similarly colourful outfits. So, I guess Marsicanland is a veiled effort to hold onto the childhood dreams that Tellytubbyland provided (for me at least). Anyway, it’s doing a pretty good job and let me tell you why.
Since releasing our first single of the year, we’ve had a ton of support from some of our favourite radio DJs including the main man Huw Stephens who made Friends his Tip of the Week, Phil Tagga...
DELIGHTED to have been announced among the first wave of bands for next year's Live At Leeds festival alongside Slaves, Wild Beasts, White Lies and a bunch of our mates. Can't wait to be back, playing one of our favourite dates in the calendar. See you in April! 🎈

Full schedule for our hometown metropolitaon music festival on Sat May 2 can be found here.
If you can't make LAL15, then join us for our warm-up gig on Fri April 24 at the Picturehouse Social, Huddersfield or our special in-store performance for the 'Gone In A Second' single launch at Jumbo Records, Leeds, on Record Store Day, on Sat 18 April 2015.
"This Leeds four-piece have a fun, bold and bright indie-pop sound that’s not too dissimilar to Arctic Monkeys – but without that Arrogant Miserable Sod vibe – as well as a healthy dose of Catfish and the Bottlemen about them. If summer 2015 could make a sound, it would probably sound a lot like them."
The playlist also fancies a competition to win two tickets to LAL15 on 2 May 2015. Enter here and come see us play!
